Evra waits for United deal

Evra waits for United deal

24 April 2008 - 11:06

French defender Patrice Evra is waiting for more activity from Man Utd regarding his contract; and hopes to follow the example of Michael Carrick, Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand and agree a new deal.

  • Arsenal & Chelsea want Junior Kroupi
  • Chelsea keen on signing Newcastle United winger
  • "My agent and the club are speaking about the contract," the 26-year-old said. "I have one year left and I want to stay, but the ball is in the club's court."

Man Utd have already been discussing a new deal with Evra for the last four months, but no deal has yet to have been struck.

Juventus and Milan remain on high alert as both could make a move for Evra if no deal is agreed.
