Arsenal-Wolves game postponed

Arsenal's match against Wolves postponed

26 December 2021 - 20:53

Arsenal's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been postponed after several coronavirus cases in the opposition squad.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game

  • The Gunners have been hampered by coronavirus lately with Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Cedric Soares and Takehiro Tomiyasu testing positive for coronavirus.

Despite this, they have continued playing with good success. They recently bagged their fourth straight league win against Norwich City on the road, but won't be able to extend the run on Tuesday.

Their match against Wolves has been postponed for an indefinite date. The Gunners will now return to Premier League action against Manchester City at home on New Year's Day.

The north London giants are currently fourth in the league standings, but they face a difficult test against the Cityzens. They have not beaten them in a league game since 2015.

They have lost nine league meetings on the trot, seven of those without scoring. Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his players can end the wretched run against the league leaders.
