Barcelona have decided against making a move for Arsenal target and Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
The Portuguese has built his reputation with Lille over the past few years, and he has now been touted to pursue a bigger club.
The French outfit are open to selling him for £35 million this month, but it appears the Blaugrana are not keen on his services.
Manager Xavi Hernandez has doubts whether Sanches can succeed at a major European club following his struggles at Bayern Munich.
Elsewhere, the midfielder is also injury prone. The Spanish tactician has urged the hierarchy to look elsewhere for a new signing.
Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Sanches and reports have claimed that they have already contacted his representative.
Despite this, they have yet to make an approach. His fitness issues could be a reason behind their decision to look at alternative targets.
Lyon's Bruno Guimaraes and Juventus' Arthur Melo are among options being considered by the north London giants to bolster their midfield.
