Newcastle United are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno this month.
The Magpies are eyeing a new shot-stopper with current number one Martin Dubravka carrying a toe injury.
Leno has been earmarked as the prime target, and 90min claims that the German would entertain a move.
Leno has not played a league game since September when he was replaced by summer arrival Aaron Ramsdale.
With his contract expiring in 18 months, he is keen to pursue a fresh challenge to keep his World Cup hopes alive.
The Magpies are keen on landing him on a short-term loan deal with an obligation to buy if they avoid relegation.
The Gunners are still undecided over Leno's future. They must find a replacement first before sanctioning his exit.
It has been recently reported that they have made a formal bid to land New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner.
He could be signed for around £5 million. This could pave the way for Leno's exit before the transfer window closes.
