Juventus have sealed the transfer of Serbia international striker Dusan Vlahovic for a transfer package worth close to 85 million euros in total. Vlahovic rejected Arsenal in favour of a move to Serie A rivals Juve.
Vlahovic will pocket a reported 7.5 million euros per season playing for the Old Lady, and his inbound transfer will likely mean faces will need to leave Juventus. Rodrigo Bentacur and Aaron Ramsey are amongst those set to depart.
The 22-year-old was wanted by Arsenal to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Vlahovic himself had no interest in a move to England, instead opting to stay in Serie A. Vlahovic remains one of Europe's top attacking players, with a 20 goal return in 24 games for the Viola so far this season. Juventus have secured the signature of one of the most respected finishers in Europe.
It is understood that Manchester United were amongst the teams to have shown last minute interest in Vlahovic, but the player's heart was already well set on a move to Turin.
Arsenal will now turn their attentions to other transfer targets, and are believed to have secured a deal for American goalkeeper Matt Turner.
