Manchester United are planning to revive their long-term interest in Nikola Milenkovic this summer.
The Serbian was on the club's radar when Jose Mourinho was the manager, and there has since been constant speculation.
It is now reported that United are monitoring his performances ahead of a potential approach at the end of the season.
Milenkovic was expected to leave the Serie A outfit last summer, but ended up signing a new one-year deal until June 2023.
However, he has no plans of penning another renewal. This could pave the way for his departure in the next transfer window.
La Viola are willing to accept a small fee of around £12.5 million for the defender. There could be plenty of transfer interest.
Inter Milan have already made contact with his representatives while United could also make a serious approach in the coming weeks.
West Ham United failed to sign him at the start of the season, but may try again, having made significant progress under David Moyes.
