Inter Milan are being fancied to sign Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani on a free transfer this summer.
The Uruguay international had a promising debut season at United last term, bagging 17 goals across all competitions.
However, he has failed to replicate the showing this campaign amid multiple injuries. He has scored two just goals.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Cavani will be heading for the exit door when his United deal expires at the end of June.
The 35-year-old has the preference for a new challenge in La Liga, but Inter are looking to lure him back to the Serie A.
Cavani had great success at Napoli previously. He netted a stunning 104 goals from 138 appearances for the Naples club.
Meanwhile, he has been a long-term target for Inter. It is claimed that they want another experienced striker in their ranks.
Alexis Sanchez, who has 15 months left on his deal, is expected to leave this summer to compensate for a new marksman.
