The Italy international has been with Les Parisiens for nearly a decade, registering 371 appearances across all competitions.

He has been an undisputed starter when fit, but Fichajes claims that the club are willing to sell him for around €50m this summer.

United have been long-term admirers of the 29-year-old, and it is claimed that they could compete with Inter and Roma for his services.

Verratti has been a quality central midfielder for Les Parisiens over the years. He has averaged an impressive two tackles per game this term.

His tough-tackling ability is something that United have lacked in their midfield, but it remains to be seen whether they meet the price.

Veratti will be 30 during the first half of next season and the Red Devils could be wary of spending a big fee for his signature.

Instead, they may want a young recruit with plenty of room for progress. Monaco\'s Aurelien Tchouameni could be a possible target.
