Arsenal are ready to sanction the sale of midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles when the transfer window reopens.
Maitland-Niles played under 500 minutes of first-team football for the Gunners this term before being loaned out to Roma in January.
He has since struggled to nail down a regular starting role. The England ace has been on the bench for the past four league games.
According to The Mirror, Roma have no plans of signing Maitland-Niles on a permanent deal and he will return to his parent club this summer.
It is added that the Gunners are expected to sell him thereafter, considering his current contract expires at the end of next season.
Everton were willing to offer £10m for him last summer, but manager Mikel Arteta vetoed the deal, much to the disappointment of the player.
The north London club are likely to accept a similar fee this time around as they seek to recoup funds for another summer spending spree.
Maitland-Niles has a clear preference to stay in the Premier League, having experienced a tough loan stint with Roma in the Serie A.
