Chelsea have made an enquiry for AC Milan striker Rafael Leao, according to Standard Sport.
The 23-year-old was a key player for the Rossoneri last term, registering 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.
His progress has caught the eye of the Blues, but they may need to pay a premium fee to prise him away this summer.
Leao, who can play up front or out wide, is currently contracted to Milan until June 2024. Talks over a new deal are underway.
Milan consider him as an indispensable figure as of now, and it may take a fee of around £80 million to test their resolve.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will make such a huge outlay, considering they are regretting recent big-money deals.
Romelu Lukaku was re-signed from Inter Milan for £97m last summer only to be loaned back to the Nerazzurri this year.
They would not want to make a similar mistake, and this could rule out the prospect of Leao joining the Blues this summer.
