Roma have expressed an interest in signing Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira during the ongoing transfer window.
Torreira recently travelled with the Gunners for their pre-season tour of US, but returned to Europe abruptly this week.
He was spotted in Italy by some sources, and Calciomercato report that Roma have enquired over his transfer valuation.
Roma boss Jose Mourinho is keen on adding more solidity in the centre of the park, and he is eyeing a tireless midfielder.
Torreira recently revealed that he had spoken with Mourinho, and it is not surprising that Roma are now interested in him.
The Uruguayan spent the recent season on loan with Fiorentina, but they surprisingly refused to trigger the €15m buy clause.
Torreira has now entered the final year of his Gunners deal. It is claimed that the club could accept around €10m to offload him.
Aside from Torreira, the likes of Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin could be shown the exit door soon.
