Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Porto striker Mehdi Taremi during the January transfer window.

The north London giants signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City this summer and he has been a revelation for them with five goals and three assists.

Despite his success, the Gunners are said to be eyeing another high-profile striker in the market and they have their sights on landing Taremi.

According to A Bola, Mikel Arteta\'s side are committed to landing the Iranian star, who has already bagged seven goals and six assists this campaign.

The 30-year-old has been a superb performer for the Porto in recent years, but the club are willing to sell him for a lucrative fee at the turn of the year.

They parted ways with Luis Diaz to Liverpool last winter and are hopeful of receiving another good fee for Taremi, who is open to a big-club move.

Taremi is also on the radar of Chelsea ahead of the New Year.
