Chelsea lining up move for Inter Milan defender?

Chelsea have been fancied to negotiate a pre-contract with Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar this winter.

  • The Slovakian has been a key player for the Nerazzurri over many seasons, but his contract expires in June next year.

He has yet to be convinced over a renewal and TuttoSport claim that Chelsea could attempt to sign him on a free transfer.

Skriniar has been offered a salary package of around €6 million per year at Inter which is apparently less than Chelsea's.

Both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay €8 million on top of a significant signing-on fee next summer.

It remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince him to join them.

Skriniar is still optimistic of continuing with Inter as he has doubts over his game time at Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

At the Nerazzurri, he has been a guaranteed starter in central defence, but the same may not be the case at other teams.
