Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed that Kalidou Koulibaly will not be available against Red Bull Salzburg tomorrow.
The Blues are currently top of their Champions League group with seven points, one ahead of the Austrian champions.
They have the chance to seal a knockout berth with a win tomorrow, but will have to contend with the absence of Koulibaly.
The Senegal star was a surprise absentee against Manchester United on Saturday after sustaining a minor knee injury.
He has not recovered in time for the Salzburg game, and Potter confirmed the same during his pre-match press conference.
He said: "It's not too serious, but this game was too soon for him. We are hoping to get him on grass either on Wednesday or Thursday, but he is not available for tomorrow."
Aside from Koulibaly, the Blues are obviously without N'Golo Kante, Wesley Fofana and Reece James with long-term injuries.
The Blues face Brighton & Hove Albion on the road this weekend.
