Manchester United are said to be interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are looking for a marquee forward this winter following the free transfer exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Osimhen has been on their radar for some time and ESPN report that United have a keen interest on landing his services.
United believe he has the credentials to succeed in the Premier League, but the main problem lies over the price tag.
Napoli won't accept less than €100 million for the Nigerian this winter. United have no plans of meeting such a fee.
Hence, the club are likely to look at alternative options. One of those could be Cody Gakpo, who can play in multiple roles.
The Dutchman prefers to operate from the left wing, but he can also feature in the number 10 role or as a main striker.
Aside from him, the club have also been linked with a loan approach for Chelsea's out-of-favour star Christian Pulisic.
