Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has emerged as a potential target for Real Madrid next summer.
The Spaniard was touted to leave the Blues on a free transfer last summer. Barcelona were interested in signing him, but he ended up penning a new two-year deal.
Azpilicueta has since been in-and-out of the starting line-up and reports claim that he could pursue a fresh challenge away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Real Madrid currently have Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez as the regular right-back options, but there are suggestions that the latter could head for the exit door.
Azpilicueta is no longer in the prime of his career, but the Spaniard has shown that he can provide a lot defensively. He could be tempted to return to his homeland.
It will be interesting to see whether Barcelona return for him. They signed Hector Bellerin after Azpilicueta's snub but the former Arsenal man has failed to impress.
