Chelsea could miss out on signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen amid his desire to play Champions League football.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the Nigerian star but a deal could be difficult during the summer transfer window.
Osimhen has talked about his dream of playing in the Premier League but he is said to prioritise a Champions League club.
According to Il Mattino, this could affect the Blues' chances of signing him, particularly with Manchester United's strong interest.
United made an ambitious move to swap Cristiano Ronaldo as part of a deal for Osimhen last summer but it was rejected.
They are now prepared to make a club-record bid for the Nigerian star, who has netted 28 goals in all competitions this term.
It is unclear whether they will be prepared to pay the asking price. Napoli are currently holding out for a staggering €160m.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis won't negotiate on the price and he is willing to keep the striker for another season.
