Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly pushing to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
The Blues graduate was in-and-out of the starting line-up last season. He could be sold during the upcoming transfer window.
Standard Sport claim that the Nerazzurri have held talks with the player's camp and could soon open negotiations with Chelsea.
The Nerazzurri are expected to lose the services of Milan Skriniar when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
They have earmarked Chalobah as his replacement and are prepared to negotiate a deal worth £20 million with the Blues.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will accept the proposal. The final decision may depend on manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine was recently appointed as the new boss and he is expected to have the final say on the transfer proceedings this summer.
Pochettino has already declined the option to re-sign Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria after their loan spells from Atletico and Juventus.
