Villarreal striker Arnaut Danjuma is on the verge of a move to Everton, as the Toffees seek to wrap up a deal worth 50 million euros for the talented forward. Danjuma spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, but the White Hart Lane outfit opted not to sign the striker on a permanent basis.
At Spurs, Danjuma scored two goals in twelve games and at times impressed ahead of other strikers, such as Richarlison. But it wasn't enough to persuade the club to make a permanent move for the player.
Everton have been disappointing in front of goal of late, and thus a move for Danjuma is needed to bolster attacking options for Sean Dyche.
In 2023/24, Everton are hopeful that a revamp of the squad will push them clear of the relegation zone, where the club have dreerily sat in recent times.
Everton's current forward line contains Demarai Gray, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Neal Maupay and Thomas Cannon, so the Blues will need to move quickly to secure a new striker for the new campaign having already sold Ellis Simms to Coventry City.
