Aston Villa have completed a real coup in their signing of Italian international attacker Nicolo Zaniolo, with the 24-year-old arriving at Villa Park on loan from Turkish club Galatasaray. Zaniolo only recently move to Turkey, but is reportedly unhappy and requested a move to England as soon as he knew that Villa had shown interest in his services.
Zaniolo scored five goals in 10 games since leaving AS Roma for the Turkish top flight champions, and caught the eye in their successful campaign. However, ultimately the player wanted to leave already and the interest of Unai Emery's club was enough to persuade him to transfer elsewhere.
Aston Villa have the option to make a deal permanent for a fee of around 35 million euros. The Villans have an impressive array of attacking talent this season, having already broke their transfer record to sign Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. Diaby scored his first goal for the club on his debut, in a 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
Zaniolo will provide a different dimension to Villa's attack, including height, as the player stands at 6 foot 3 and is an imposing presence in the box.
