Manchester United have confirmed a fresh injury blow with Mason Mount ruled out until the international break.
The England international joined the Red Devils from Chelsea this summer, and he started the first two Premier League games.
He picked up an injury against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and has now been ruled out until early September.
As a result, he will miss the upcoming matches against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal. The news is a big blow for United.
Mount has started alongside Casemiro in the centre of the park. In his absence, Christian Eriksen should get the nod.
The Dane was brilliant in the first half of last season, but struggled in the back end following a period out with an ankle injury.
He has a big point to prove against Forest and Arsenal. Meanwhile, United are likely to pursue another midfielder this summer.
Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat is the priority target for the manager and an approach could be made before the end of the week.
