Chelsea are prepared to swap Romelu Lukaku to re-sign Tammy Abraham from Roma next summer.
Lukaku was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Mauricio Pochettino and he made the move to Roma on loan this summer.
The Belgian has had a fine start for the club with three goals in his four games and he is open to staying in Rome for the long-term.
Amidst this, it is claimed that the Blues could propose to land Abraham in a straight-exchange deal for Lukaku at the end of the season.
Abraham was on the radar of Chelsea earlier this year, but he picked up a serious knee injury before the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Despite this, the Blues continue to remain keen on re-signing him. They have a €80m buy-back clause but prefer a cheaper route.
It remains to be seen whether the Giallorossi would be tempted to accept the Blues proposal. It may depend on Lukaku's form this term.
