Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the Premier League clash against Everton on Sunday.
The Red Devils have been hampered by numerous injuries this term and they will be without Mason Mount this weekend.
The Englishman only recently recovered from a hamstring problem and it was anticipated that he could start regularly after the break.
However, he has now suffered a fresh calf issue. The former Chelsea man is expected to be ruled out until the end of the year.
The news is a blow for the Red Devils, who are already without Christian Eriksen. He is nursing a knee injury at the moment.
Casemiro is another one in the treatment room. In the absence of the trio, Sofyan Amrabat seems likely to feature in midfield.
He should be accompanied by Scott McTominay. The Scot could be handed the creative role with Amrabat playing behind him.
United will be eyeing a third-straight league victory when they travel to Merseyside to face the Toffees on Sunday evening.
