Manchester United could opt against signing midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
The Moroccan star joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan from Fiorentina last summer. He was determined to sign for the Red Devils despite interest from arch-rivals Liverpool.
Amrabat has since struggled to live up to his high expectations. He has failed to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League and has been guilty of losing possession in important phases of games.
It is now reported by Fiorentina News that United have second thoughts of signing him for the long-term. It is very likely that he will return to Fiorentina when the season concludes.
The Serie A outfit are expected to sell him off to another club. They have no plans to keep him after the midfielder refused to training in order to push for a late move to United last summer.
Amrabat has been an unused substitute in the last two league games, but he could be in the starting line-up against Everton on Sunday after injuries to Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen.
