Ronaldo backs Man City to retain UCL title

Cristiano Ronaldo predicts Champions League winner

19 January 2024 - 21:01

Former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo believes Manchester City have a good chance of winning the Champions League for the second season running.

  • Chelsea set to sign Crystal Palace star for £47m
  • Man Utd aiming to beat Liverpool to 25yo midfielder
  • The Portuguese is currently plying his trade with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. He was at the Golden Globe awards earlier today and when asked to predict this season's Champions League winner, he said:

"Manchester City have good chance to win the Champions League again.  Favorites? Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich."

City have had an indifferent Premier League campaign and they have been trailing the leaders for the past few months. Despite this, the club should be favourites to lift the title for a fourth straight year.

Meanwhile, they have been in brilliant form in Europe for some time and should fancy their chances of lifting the Champions League crown ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Only Real Madrid have managed to win back-to-back Champions League titles and City will be aiming to join them in doing so at the end of the season.
