Newcastle are reportedly close to signing Turkish international midfielder Arda Turan this summer. The player will be part of Turkey's Euro 2008 squad and is expected to be one of the hottest prospects to ever come out of Turkish football.
Newcastle are likely to wish to add Turan to their squad to play alongside fellow Turk Emre.
Turan is valued by his club Galatasaray at about £14 million, who are reluctant to let the player leave.
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has reportedly been given over £25 million to spend on new players this summer.
