Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been dropped from England's Euro 2024 squad after failing to recover from his injury.
The Red Devils star was struggling with a calf problem during the final weeks of the club season and he did not make the FA Cup final.
Maguire was anticipated to be fit ahead of the Euros, but he has not passed the fitness tests. Hence, Gareth Southgate has left him out of the squad.
In his absence, Ezri Konsa has been included in the 26-man squad. The Three Lions will be one of the favourites for the tournament in Germany.
Meanwhile, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo are among United stars who have made the cut. Shaw has recovered from his hamstring concern.
The left-back has been injured for most of the year, but he has proved his fitness and could be a regular starter for England in Germany.
Mainoo could likewise be in the starting XI for the Three Lions on the back of a sensational breakthrough season with the Red Devils.
