Spain international striker Alvaro Morata will join AC Milan on a three-year contract this evening, as the Atletico Madrid forward looks set to move to Italy once again after a previous spell with Juventus. Morata joined Atleti in 2020 and has only appeared in two of the club's campaigns, including last season's, with two years on loan at Juve sandwiched between the 31-year-old's spell at his parent club.
It is understood that AC Milan will pay around 25 million euros for the Madrid-born striker, and that the 6 foot 3 forward will earn around 180,000 euros per week back in Serie A.
Having guided Spain to Euro 2024 success, Morata has seen his stock rise in recent weeks and a move to Milan will likely see the Spaniard replace Olivier Giroud as the club's primary striker.
Morata will join Milan ahead of rival bids that were received from two German clubs and also from the USA and Saudi Arabia. It is believed that Morata wants to play at the highest level in Europe for at least two more years before leaving the continent.
