Crespo to stay on at Inter?

20 May 2008 - 14:13

Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo has expressed his desire to play on for the Nerazzurri for one more season at least despite being not wanted by coach Roberto Mancini.

  • Arsenal to hijack Chelsea deal for English winger?
  • Arsenal & Chelsea battling to sign Ajax defender

  • In the recently concluded Italian Serie A season, Crespo featured just sparingly for Inter Milan and was virtually the fifth choice striker for Inter after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cruz, David Suazo and teenage star Mario Balotelli.

Moreover there have been reports of friction between him and Inter coach Roberto Mancini which certainly don't help his cause to linger on in the blue and black half of the San Siro.

The 32-year old Argentine international striker though remains adamant that he shall play on for Inter Milan.

    He insists:

"Even if I have played little I am happy and I want to remain at Inter. We will see what the club decide to do in the transfer market."

The problem is that the club, which in the context is Inter Milan, might well have made up their mind to offload the veteran Argentine in the summer.
