Turkey got their Euro 2008 preparations off to the best possible start with a hard fought victory over Slovakia. Fatith Terim's side ran out 1-0 winners.
Turkey will need all the preparation they can get as they are in one of the tougher groups after drawing the Czech Republic, Portugal and joint hosts Switzerland.
They won the game thanks to a fantastic effort from Hakan Balta, striking the ball from just outside the box on the hour mark.
Although they will be expected to crash out in the early stages, wins in their warm up matches can only help to boost the squads confidence ahead of the tournament this summer.
