Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is reportedly close to joining Panathinaikos on a permanent basis this month.
The Uruguay international has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2020, but he has failed to become a key player.
Pellistri was a substitute in the recent Community Shield game, but he was not in the matchday squad against Fulham on Friday.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Panathinaikos are in advanced talks with United for Pellistri, who is deemed surplus to requirements.
The winger has already agreed personal terms and it is only a matter of time before he makes the switch to the Greek heavyweights.
Pellistri has been an important figure in the national setup for the last two years, but his club career has yet to reach those heights.
He has the chance to prove his credentials in a new league. Panathinaikos are prepared to assure him game time from the starting XI.
