Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that the club were somewhat lucky to beat Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The Villans did the double over the Gunners last season and they looked good value to repeat the same at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Villa had two big chances through Ollie Watkins, but he was unable to capitalise. David Raya made a stunning save to deny him too.
Ultimately, Arsenal prevailed with a hard-fought win. Leandro Trossard scored just two minutes after coming off the bench for the Gunners.
Thomas Partey put the game to bed with a second goal soon after.
Speaking after the 2-0 win, Arteta said that the club got the better of the Villans with some luck and good individual performances.
He told Sky Sports: "With a bit of luck and individual performances we managed to win the game."
Arsenal have moved to third in the league table with the win and they will host Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break.
