Arsenal are keen on signing Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling on transfer deadline day, according to The Independent.
The England international has been deemed surplus to requirements and he is expected to be offloaded by the Blues tomorrow.
Sterling has been offered to several clubs and it is reported that manager Mikel Arteta would like a reunion with the attacker.
Arteta shared a strong relationship with Sterling at Manchester City and he believes the forward can be a valuable squad addition.
Sterling is accustomed to the playing style which is similar to City's and he could act as cover for Bukayo Saka on the right wing.
However, a deal may not be straightforward. Arsenal don't want to pay any kind of fee and Sterling may have to terminate his Blues contract.
Another option could be a loan deal with his wages compensated by Chelsea, considering Arsenal won't pay £325,000 per week.
The Gunners won't offer more than £150,000 per week to Sterling.
