Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised his players following the 2-2 Premier League draw against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cityzens opened the scoring early through Erling Braut Haaland and they looked on course to score more. However, the tide changed after Riccardo Calafiori's tremendous long-range goal.
Gabriel Magalhaes put the Gunners ahead from a trademark header from a Bukayo Saka corner, but the club suffered a huge setback with Leandro Trossard's sending off before the break.
They almost managed to hold on for the victory with 10 men but conceded a late 98th goal through John Stones. Despite this, Arteta was delighted with the efforts from his players.
He said: "Absolutely I am proud. The way the players played in the normal conditions was excellent, it was difficult, which is why they have not lost here for fourty-something games."
With the late draw, Arsenal have dropped to fourth in the league table with 11 points, but they are only two adrift of Manchester City.
