Manchester United will have to pay around £52 million to sign Chelsea playmaker Christopher Nkunku in the January transfer window.
The France international joined the Blues from RB Leipzig with a huge reputation last year, but he has yet to become a key player for them.
Nkunku was largely on the sidelines last season due to injuries and he is now playing second fiddle when it comes to the Premier League games.
The 26-year-old has been restricted to starts in the Conference League and Carabao Cup and he is far from happy with his current situation.
This could urge him to move on next year and The Telegraph claim that United are one of the clubs that are interested in landing his services.
Chelsea are prepared to consider his exit with the vast competition for places under manager Enzo Maresca this campaign.
Nkunku is currently behind Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Pedro Neto in the pecking order for a starting league spot.
The Paris Saint-Germain graduate also faces competition from the likes of Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Jadon Sancho off the bench.
Chelsea are prepared to sanction his sale, provided they can recoup the entire £52m transfer fee paid to Leipzig last year.
