Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has sent his reaction following the 3-2 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils had a poor start from the off with Nikola Milenkovic scoring in just the second minute. Rasmus Hojlund equalised for United before the break, but United went behind soon after the interval.
An error from Andre Onana allowed Morgan Gibbs-White to find the back of the net. Forest made it 3-1 through a Chris Wood header after misjudgement from Onana, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez.
United reduced the deficit through a powerful Bruno Fernandes strike, but they could not find the equaliser. Speaking after the game, Amorim said that it is a long journey and the game have to win to improve as a team.
He said: "It’s been a tough game in a tough moment but we have to continue the job. This is a long journey. We are improving in some aspects. We have to win games to help us improve the team."
United remain 13th in the league standings after the loss to Forest, but they have now dropped eight points behind the Champions League places. Next up in the league, they face a tough trip to Manchester City.
