Chelsea star Marc Cucurella will be suspended for the Premier League clash against Everton after picking up a reckless booking after the win against Brentford.
The Spaniard had a superb derby against the Bees at Stamford Bridge. He scored the opening goal in the 43rd minute. Nicolas Jackson doubled the club's advantage before a consolation for Bryan Mbeumo.
Cucurella had been booked during the London derby and he received his second yellow card after the full-time whistle. The left-back was sent off after showing an aggressive attitude towards the referee.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion man will now be suspended for the visit of Everton this weekend. It is a huge blow for the Blues, considering the limited quality from the left-back role at the club.
Ben Chilwell has been sidelined by the manager. Summer signing Renato Veiga could be the likely replacement for Cucurella when the Blues visit Goodison Park in Sunday's early kick-off.
