Arsenal star Bukayo Saka could be sidelined for several weeks after picking up a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The England international suffered the setback in the opening half against the Eagles on Saturday and he was substituted in the 24th minute.
Despite his absence, Arsenal coped well against the Eagles and they went on to secure a comfortable 5-1 win over their London counterparts.
The Athletic now reveal that Saka could be out for up to six weeks in the worst case scenario. This would be a huge blow for the Gunners.
Arsenal have overly relied on Saka on the right wing for several seasons and manager Mikel Arteta will now have to find a different solution.
Gabriel Martinelli was superb on the right flank against Palace. He looked a different player with his direct running and crossing ability.
The Brazilian could get an extended run from the role. Ethan Nwaneri could be the other alternative with Raheem Sterling injured.
