Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Gabriel Jesus following the FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners suffered a shock loss to the Red Devils in the FA Cup. They had a man advantage for more than 60 minutes, but were unable to find the winner in regular time (1-1).
The game eventually went to a penalty shoot-out where United came on top. Speaking after the game, Arteta was posed with plenty of questions including one on Jesus' injury.
The Brazilian was taken off in a stretcher after picking up an apparent knee injury and Arteta acknowledged that it is not looking good as he was in a lot of pain leaving the field.
He said: "No update but it's not looking good. He was in quite a lot of pain, he had to come off on a stretcher and he's not looking good."
With Jesus set to be sidelined, Kai Havertz remains the only specialist striker in the squad and he needs to step up in the coming weeks.
