Serie A giants Lazio have made a formal bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei this winter, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The 22-year-old joined the Blues from Inter Milan with a huge reputation, but he has failed to establish himself in the first-team squad.
Chelsea have opened the door for his permanent exit with a sell-on clause. Torino made an offer last week and Lazio have now joined the race.
The Rome-based outfit have proposed to pay around £11 million for the young midfielder with a significant sell-on clause of 40 percent.
Chelsea are expected to make a decision over the midfielder's future over the next week. Casadei has agreed terms with both Italian clubs.
The midfielder is eager to playing first-team football and the Blues could make a final decision over his future before the end of the month.
Alongside Casadei, the Blues are also expected to part ways with Ben Chilwell. They are yet to receive a formal offer on the table.
