Arsenal have reportedly asked for information regarding Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have been disappointing in the Premier League and they are already 11 points behind Liverpool for the top spot in the table.

Mikel Arteta's side have a huge summer in front of them and there could be multiple signings to bolster the attacking department in particular.

Sky Sport CH claim that the club have now asked for information regarding Lookman, but they are yet to proceed with any contact with his agent.

Lookman has been in sparkling form in Serie A with Atalanta. He has already accumulated 17 goals and seven assists in the ongoing campaign.

With his contract expiring next year, Atalanta are expected to offload him in the summer and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners make a move.

Arsenal are set to face stiff competition from Liverpool in the race. The Reds have already taken concrete steps to sign the former Everton man.
