Arsenal are not totally convinced about signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko at the end of the season, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners are expected to sign a marquee centre-forward this summer and they have been linked with several high-profile names of late.
Sesko is one of their long-term targets, but the Gunners have second thoughts about recruiting him during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners wanted to sign him last summer, but the Slovenian snubbed the opportunity as he did not want to play second fiddle to Kai Havertz.
Mikel Arteta's side now have doubts over his credentials. They do not believe he can make an instant impact in the Premier League.
As a result, they have turned their attention to Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, who could be available for around £60 million.
Gyokeres has been in sensational form for Sporting CP with 42 goals in as many games and would be a fabulous acquisition for the no.9 role.
