Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is poised to start against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils welcome the Cityzens to Old Trafford at the weekend and they will be without Matthijs de Ligt for the Manchester derby.
De Ligt sustained a knock against Nottingham Forest in midweek. United want to be cautious with him ahead of the Europa League quarter-final.
Hence, Maguire is most likely to make the starting XI. The England international is poised to partner Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui in central defence.
Maguire dominated proceedings against Erling Haaland in the reverse fixture. He will have a different opponent this time around.
With Haaland out injured, Omar Marmoush is set to lead the line for Pep Guardiola's side. He is more versatile and can be a tricky opponent.
Maguire has a big challenge on his hands. Manager Ruben Amorim will hope the former United captain can step up for the occasion again.
