Liverpool are determined to complete the signing of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez after an agreement to land Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz is expected to join the Merseyside giants in the coming weeks after the Reds agreed on a club-record £127 million package to purchase him.
While his transfer is close to completion, the Reds have now stepped up their pursuit of Kerkez as they aim to bolster the left back department.
Kerkez has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions and talks are still ongoing over the final fee for his potential transfer.
The Cherries are aiming for at least £45 million upfront with another £5m in add-ons. It appears only a matter of time before the Reds land the Hungarian sensation.
Arne Slot's side are also in the transfer market for a marquee striker, but that could depend on the departure of out of favour Darwin Nunez, who is on the radar of Saudi clubs.
