Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has opened the door to joining Manchester United this summer, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Argentina international has made over 200 appearances for the Villans over the years, but he is ready to pursue a bigger challenge in his career.
United have no Champions League to play for next season, but the World Cup winner is still keen on joining the Red Devils if an opportunity arises soon.
The club's interest in Martinez has been confirmed by Romano, but a transfer is fully dependent on Andre Onana heading for the exit door this summer.
United made a huge outlay of around £47 million to purchase him and they are unlikely to purchase Martinez unless they can sanction Onana's exit.
There has been plenty of talk of Saudi Pro League interest but as things stand, no formal offers have been made for the Cameroonian star.
For now, Onana appears poised to continue with the Red Devils.
