Keane linked with Chelsea job

Keane linked with Chelsea job

27 May 2008 - 10:43

Roy Keane has emerged as a shock target for Chelsea. The Sunderland boss has attracted the attentions of the Blues after they fired Avram Grant last week. Roman Abramovich is known to be a big admirer of the Irishman.

  • Man Utd star to sign new contract in next 24 hours
  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m
  • Daily Express sports journalist Harry Harris believes that Keane is a candidate for the role.

Keane is somewhat of an outsider for the role, as names such as Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink have been linked with the job.

However, Keane does have experience of English football management and did impress with Sunderland in the Premiership last year after keeping them in the top flight.
