Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate could make a late move to Real Madrid before the transfer window closes this summer.
The Frenchman has entered the last year of his contract with the Premier League champions and he has no plans of penning an extension.
The Reds are currently in the process of signing Parma's Giovanni Leoni and Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi to bolster the central defence.
If they manage to sign both, they could open the door for the transfer of Konate. Madrid are reportedly monitoring his situation closely.
The La Liga giants have one spot left for registration in the squad, considering Franco Mastantuono will initially be registered with Castilla.
They could make a genuine approach for Konate in the coming days if the Reds were to secure the services of both Leoni and Guehi.
Aside from Konate, Harvey Elliott has also been touted to move on from the Reds. The Englishman is eyeing regular game time.
