Arsenal are locked in talks with Crystal Palace regarding a move for Eberechi Eze, but in a surprise twist it is understood that the Eagles want to sign Jakub Kiwior - possibly as a replacement for Marc Guehi - a transfer deal worth around £25 million. The Polish international is ready to leave the Emirates Stadium in search of first-team football.
Numerous Italian clubs have been considering a transfer for Kiwior, but none were able to match the reported transfer price tag. That leaves Palace in pole position to secure the centre-back's signature, and he could move in a separate deal to follow the Eberechi Eze transfer.
Jakub Kiwior has been a popular member of the Arsenal squad, and played as a backup to duo Gabriel and William Saliba in recent seasons. Since his arrival from Spezia, the player has made no secret of his desire to appear on a regular basis, and is now looking clear to transfer across London to Palace.
It is understood that Oliver Glasner has cleared the transfer move for Kiwior, and a deal could be announced next week for the Polish defender.
