Arsenal have made a five-year contract offer to defender William Saliba amid interest from Real Madrid, according to Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman has established himself as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League, and the Gunners are keen to reward him.
His current deal does not expire until the summer of 2027, but the club want to sort out his future before he enters the last year of his contract.
A five-year contract package has been offered to the 24-year-old today and there is optimism that he will put pen-to-paper on a renewal.
Saliba has personally admitted that he loves to play for the Gunners and he has dropped hints that he could extend his time at the club.
Alongside Saliba, the Gunners are simultaneously working on a new deal for Bukayo Saka and are confident of striking an agreement.
Saka has no plans of contemplating a new challenge elsewhere. He is widely expected to commit his long-term future to the club.
