Arsenal to bid in January for 25-year-old Spanish midfielder

Arsenal are to make a bid for Oihan Sancet in the January transfer window, as the Spanish 25-year-old, currently with Athletic Bilbao, seeks a new challenge after ten years with his current club. Sancet has appeared four times for Spain\'s national team, scoring one goal, and it is understood that Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of the Pamplona-born midfielder.

Sancet operates as a central attacking midfielder behind Inaki Williams and for many is seen as the club\'s best player.

It is understood that Arsenal are seeking another midfield acquisition as it remains unclear what will happen to Gabriel Jesus and even Gabriel Martinelli in the January transfer window. Saudi Arabian teams have expressed interest in the Brazilian duo.
